If a customer provides you with a bad or invalid address then there is no point you consistently sending them an email. Your provider should remove these addresses from your database automatically to save you a lot of time.
You don't want to have any part in the subscribe or unsubscribe processes. Whether a person wants to join your list or leave your list they should be able to do so easily and the database should be updated automatically.
Make sure that your chosen provider has a good internet connection and a server backup plan. You don't want to have issues with sending messages because they can only be sent at certain times of the day
